Hi all! Has anybody used 3t as the setting for a pen & paper RPG? If so, do you have any ideas or resources that you would be willing to share?
I recently touched base with Tyke, who has drawn some lovely town maps on Reddit for his 5e D&D game. I also have the XL spreadsheet 3t map that Apecraze created, and the plot synopsis that is on the forums here, somewhere. Also, a walkthrough of lots of the quests, which is handy if, like me, you are getting old and forgetful! I seem to remember a hand drawn map of the continent, from many years ago …. I don’t suppose anyone has a copy on their hard drive anywhere ?
I am currently cruising around townside, trying to remember as many of the quests as possible, and actually reading the text, this time! Are the “new” areas linked into the original plot line?
It’s good to see 3T still thriving, and nice not to have to click 100 times to get on line! I have already bumped into a few old familiar players, and look forward to chatting to a few new ones – especially those of you who know the place better than I do (which is all of you!)
:-)
Right … I’m off for a glass of Bulguard’s finest wine and a chat with Manypints!
(Un) see you soon, Dan

Ancient History.
***SPOLIERS****
Hi again 3T, So ... two and a bit years later, and our f2f campaign kicks off again. Had great fun yesterday on Pixie Isle, and, for just a moment, it looked like the party was going to show some compassion to the Bandits. But ... naaaaaaaaaah.
I've been trawling through the story (as far as I can make it out), and have written a (spoiler light) synopsis.
So ... my question is:
is this accurate (more or less) in outlining the history of the background story???
:-)

**********************
In ancient times, the Mahru Lehk dispatched any race that they considered inferior to themselves, or any of their own who were imperfect, through the Cleansing Gate to a far off, inhospitable & primitive land, never to return. The vast majority perished. Most quite swiftly, but a few lingered on for long enough to leave a trace of their existence for the future to find. Those that lived hid themselves away, eking out an existence, and struggled to survive.
Time passed, and empires rose and fell.
The Manonera, resplendent in their Jewelled City, grew in strength to the point where they thought they could challenge the Gods themselves. Through blood and ritual, they sought to summon the unsummonable. But not all agreed. A band of dissenters escaped the city, magically sealing the door behind them, and breaking the key in two. Those most loyal fled north & south with the parts, promising to hide away, forever. The Warrior Lord and his remaining followers fled across the endless desert, seeking sanctuary in a far off land. Unbeknownst to them, the summoning ritual failed. With more than devastating consequences for the Manonera. Corruption burst forth from the city, destroying and reshaping it, and everything for miles around.
Safe from pursuit, a city was built. Local lands pacified, and a rich and wealthy culture grew. The Lord became King, and the inhospitable land a Kingdom, an empire.
But the King went too far. The people rebelled, and after his death, a council took charge. Arcane & Divine ruling in turns. And even after all that had gone before, disagreements and animosity festered. Ambition grew. And yet again, a line was crossed. An ambitious mage opened a door that should have remained shut, and the City’s doom was sealed. As the city fell, the inhabitants fled. Some north, some south, some down. Some carrying the broken pieces of a puzzle, so that it could never again be solved.
The land was harsh, and time gradually whittled their descendants down to small settlements, alone in their ignorance of their common origin.
A few stories endured to be told, handed down, generation to generation, whispered secrets and outlandish fairy tales.
Years flew by, decades, centuries, and the settlements grew, and started to look towards neighbouring lands. Some made friends and created alliances. Others generated conflict. And recently, those conflicts have grown. Once far distant clans now fight for the right to nearby lands. Resources grow scarce. And rumours circulate of strange visitors from far off shores, and nightmare creatures never seen before.
