I can recommend this to try and see if you like it.
The team that worked on project Q (Quality overhaul) are now working on this new version they call project Fubar.
I didnt see a version to install via Steam workshop. I manually installed it. So far no bugs or crashes so its pretty stable on 3t.
Somewhere on the forum i did a post years ago about project Q overhaul.
Its a drop in override that changes the map terrain visuals, item look in inv and being held. Also i would say about 40% of the monsters looks quite different.
Like orcs, goblins, ogres, desert fiends look way meaner. Humanoid chars seem to look the same. Elementals look totally different. The earth elemental looks really cool. Water looks like a wall of water, fire like a moving flames and air is hard to see. Player character Shifter shapes are also improved. I really like how the new Minotar shape. Not yet seen what Iron/stone/flesh golems look like.
But everything is in the same place as its 3t and is the same 3t game.
Its a hefty download of few GBs. You unzip and put into your override folder. If you dont like it you can just rename your overide folder to turn it off. Some maps i find too many tree for farming like PB giants.
