Hello everybody. I'm a newbie at this shard and used to play as a sorc at other shards, so I'm looking for a good advice what to build over here. As I checked the existing threads, I noticed some general rules the caster builds are made by maximizing dc, and honestly they seem to be quiet primitive as you basically only take great stats (cha or int). However, as I said, I used to play as sorc and it was always a must to have automatic silent/still/quicken spells I-III depending on a situation. Are these feats available on the items? I could not find such information here. So if you give me few hints how to progress with sorc I'll appreciate that a lot. P.S. English is not my native language so I beg your pardon if it may appear to be weird or I misunderstand you. But I believe we will eventually handle the things.
Thanks!

You lower spell dc taking these spell feats. Best is to max your int/cha/wis and take as many esf you can.
As far as I know you dont need quicken on 3t because at level 11 you can wear haste items and so all you spells are quickened in the same way as quicken. If you take the quicken feat then its a level above spell to get access to that spell slot but does nothing useful to to spell. Better to go max or empowered.
Still spell feat works to wear armour for the famous Still sorc builds but then you lost a lot of spell dc. I tried to make one once and did the calculations but dont think its worth it due to the lower spell dc. There are some armour that cancel out the spell casting in armour disruption and shield but its not that great. You prob better off taking divine shield on a pure sorc with 1 paladin.
If you want a tanky caster then better a cleric as on some 3t cleric domains can also cast some damage wiz spells.
And to be tanky you prob need crit immune so 10 palemaster and maybe divine shield.
I built a silent sd cleric once but its really not useful because the silence spell disturbs the monsters if you are hipsed so they try and attack you.

Pretty much what Jarrod said.
You don't need quicken spell as there are haste items.
The problem with autostill is that the AC you gain is only somewhat useful. In many end game areas enemy AB is simply so high that you can't tank them anyway. Note that expertise mode is cancelled on casting a spell.
Silent spell feat can be useful for more flexibility but there are no enemies that would try to silence you other than in PvP.
You could also consider making a wizard first to learn the mod and see what spells work in which areas. All in all mages on 3T are quite easy to level up but fragile in end game unless PM.
